Genesis 15: 5-6
And He took him outside and said, "Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them." And He said to him, "So shall your decendants be."
Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.

God reckoned Abrahams belief in His word as righteousness. When we believe in the words He gives us, it is an act of righteousness. (Mat 13:43) - "Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father."

  1. I pray that my thoughts & words will be pleasing in His sight.
On a clear night, early in the morning, before signs of the dawn...the stars are at their best! When I see this, I am overwhelmed by God's majesty~

  2. You are His daughter. He looks upon you as wonderful.

  3. I think the stars as an analogy for descendants is pretty cool and awesome. It reminds me of the story you and mom tell about looking at the stars when you were talking about having kids and seeing three shooting stars... =) Maybe it was us.
