The Lords Home

Isaiah 66:1-2
Thus says the LORD,
"Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool
Where then is a house you could build for Me?
And where is a place that I may rest?
"For My hand made all these things,

Thus all these things came into being," declares the LORD
"But to this one I will look,
To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.

Luke 9:58
Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."

1 Peter 2:4-6
As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says:
"See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame."

~ THE HEART OF GOD ~
It's been said that home is where the heart is. His love for us is so deep, He gave his only Son that we might have salvation through Him. Today's footprint is to read Isaiah 66:1-2 again. "To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word."... upon such a one will the Spirit of the Lord rest. May His Spirit rest upon His people forever more.

  1. The Lord loves a humble spirit ~
We are living stones, being built into spiritual houses...
    great images.
Keeping myself humble also means putting aside the "I do it myself" tendencies, tough to do!

  2. Dad,
This is a beautiful footstep. I love how you use "home is where the heart is" which is *clearly* a saying that I love. It's comforting to know that God is listening, in his own house (our hearts) when we speak softly and silently to him.

Thank you for your scriptures and teachings
    I love you,
    Amanda
